Our doors open two hours before the performances allowing our guests plenty of time to enjoy refreshments, take walks around the grounds, and listen to the various live chamber performances on offer. An hour before the performance we will provide a complimentary drinks reception, where guests can mingle and soak up the festivities before taking their seats to enjoy the main event.
After the first act, we will take a long dining interval of 90-minutes, during which time we invite our guests to enjoy one of our unreserved or reserved dining experiences.
Bring your own hamper and find a spot on our grassy lawns to enjoy it al fresco.
If you would prefer to sit at a table, all are welcome to sit at our communal trestle tables in our Dining Marquee on the Old Tennis Court - perfect for keeping you cool on a hot day and dry on a wet day.
For a surcharge, you can reserve a decorated round table in our Dining Marquee on the Old Tennis Court. These are situated in a prime location with the best views of the South Downs and accommodate parties of 6, 8 and 10 people. (Includes a tablecloth, water, and flowers).
Diners with reservations are welcome to enjoy their own hampers, or to order a three-course meal served by waiting staff.
After dinner, the opera continues as the sun sets, after which guests are welcome to stay for digestifs until the grounds close at 10pm.
